Small Town, City Blues is a short documentary film that talks about the phenomenon of gentrification in Cumberland from the perspective of some of the musicians who have called the Village home, and helped to make it a popular destination for home buyers and developers. Featuring 100% made in Cumberland music. Directed by Chukwumuobi Obasi, produced by Bobby Herron. "The film gives a clear insight into the Politics of Change, as it relates to property acquisition in Cumberland (and elsewhere). The Sense of Place is immaculately pulled off. Two thumbs up" Simon Gunn, RadioActive Artists Official Selection: Stockholm Film Festival TMFF Join us for two short films and musical performances from some of the artists featured in the film. Music from Corwin Fox, Bobby Herron, Dan Criderman, Meaghan Cursons, Gord Carter and more! Admission $10. 100% proceeds support Elevate and will be reinvested into arts-based projects that explore social, economic and environmental issues 50% capacity event (unless orders change) All other PHO's apply as per public events.
